Positive Parenting Approach
Explore a positive way to promote a stronger connection with your children. We are here to help foster your relationships while encouraging a healthy family system. We also provide adoption competent counseling and provide methods in strengthening connections as a caregiver or foster parent.
The Gottman method therapeutic interventions are designed to help couples in three primary way: conflict management, friendship, and creation of shared meaning. The goal is to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect and affection, remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy in conflicting situations.
Did you know that anger is a secondary emotion? It is an emotion that may suppress core feelings and inhibit the ability to discover the root of an issue. We are here to educate individuals more about regulating emotions and exploring an effective way to resolve conflict. Patient’s will be able to create a safety plan to identify triggers on how to manage concerns through their therapeutic narrative.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
We sometimes perceive situations with a faulty or unhelpful mindset. This can cause great harm to our mental well-being. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps to recognize distortions in one’s thinking that may create problems, by re-framing one’s thinking and behavioral patterns. There are many methods that can be used in practice to challenge thought distortions with the help of a therapist. Depending on one’s ability to adapt to the methods, an individual can soon be their own therapist by implementing specific tools in their toolbox to combat negative belief systems. These tools can decrease depression, anxiety disorder, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, and other severe mental health issues.
The goal of mindfulness and meditation in therapy is to create a healthy mind and healthy life. It is quality that everyone has and available to us in every moment. We are discovering a way to notice our thoughts and sensations without judgement. We are creating a safe space for thinking and breathing. Treatment will be geared to learning mindfulness skills to decrease symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other severe mental health issues.
